World Cup activations draw crowds in major malls

The Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy (SC) has set up activations in three major malls in Qatar, offering visitors a range of engaging and interactive games and activities.
The activations at Place Vendome, Mall of Qatar and Doha Festival City, which began on September 22nd and lasted until October 5th, serve as a platform to promote the upcoming FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 and the tourist offer of the host country to advertise target.
The three major malls also hosted previous SC activations in August, giving football fans “a sense of the excitement of the World Cup”.

Visitors wanting to explore Qatar’s culture and heritage can explore Katara — the Cultural Village, Al Zubarah Fort and Souq Waqif — in addition to dhow boat tours and cultural activities of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, a flyer suggests.

For the mega attractions of Qatar, there are multiple destinations to explore such as Al Maha Island Lusail, D’reesha Performing Arts Festival, Festival in Motion, Qatar Fashion United by CR Runway, Our Life and Fan Village Cabin Free Zone by Al Emadi Hospitality.
Those looking for fun and entertainment can head to the FIFA Fan Festival, Doha Corniche, Lusail Boulevard, Arcadia Music Festival and MDL Beast Presents – Aravia for live and “electrifying performances and events” throughout the tournament .

Qatar also offers a range of curated experiences including thrilling adventures such as sand dunes, inland sea, mangrove kayaking, kite surfing and water sports among others.
The activations are also distributing a pocket fan guide across the stadiums; Game schedule; travel by subway and tram, taxi and bus; Qatar etiquette, Covid-19 restrictions and updates, and Qatar Ministry of Health advice and services.
“Feels great to be a part of the activities here today, me and my family had missed the activations at the mall in August so I was very happy to know they are doing it again this month and my kids are enjoying the VR Really enjoyed games and the 360. This is phenomenal and I hope there will be more,” said Jay from the UK.

This excitement resonated with many mall visitors and shoppers, who praised an initiative that has garnered positive response since its launch in August to mark the 100-day countdown to the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
Nationals from other GCC countries, notably Saudi Arabia, also attended Activation Friday and expressed their support for Qatar’s hosting of the prestigious tournament from November 20th to December 18th.
With just 57 days to go until the highly anticipated mega sporting event, football fever is spreading across the nation, which looks forward to welcoming players and fans from around the world.
