Pour: Claudio Bisio
Director: Luca Miniero
Release date: December 15, 2016
On the small island of Porto Buio, the traditional live Christmas crib may no longer play because the baby that has always played Jesus is grown and no new babies have been born on the island for years! With this fundamental tradition at stake, newly elected mayor Cecco (Claudio Bisio) wants to ask the local Tunisian community to “borrow” one of their children, but there are conflicts between the two communities. Cecco enlists the help of local Islam convert Bilal (Alessandro Gassman) to bridge the cultural divide… but both communities are unsure what to make of an infant Jesus who may need his nationality, and even his religion has changed!
