Seymour Krelborn is a nerdy orphan who works at Mushnik’s, a flower shop on urban Skid Row. He has a crush on his colleague Audrey Fulquard and is verbally abused by Mr. Mushnik on a daily basis. One day Seymour finds a very mysterious unidentified plant which he names Audrey II. The plant appears to have a craving for blood and soon begins singing for its supper.
