The Rom-Com 2022 is an adaptation of the 1949 novel of the same name by the American writer Edward Streeter. Prior to today’s release, the comedy-drama has been adapted for the big screen twice, the most popular and most recent being the 1991 version starring Steve Martin, Diana Keaton, Martin Kurzand Kimberly Williams among other.
The current father of the bride has a Cuban-American family, with Andy Garcia as the relevant “father” and Gloria Estefan as the mother of the bride, thus taking a different cultural twist on the classic.
