Vols make cut for Elite 2024 Philly WR Tyseer Demark

As the 2023 Recruitment class continues to fill up, Josh Heupel is slowly picking up speed with the 2024 class. Tennessee Football already had one signing and picked up another this past weekend. Now they are looking for an elite prospect in this class from Philly.

Tyseer Denmark, a four-star player at the Roman Catholic high school in Philadelphia, Pa., included the Vols in his top 12 on Friday. The Pennsylvania kid is between 5ft 10″ and 5ft 11″ tall and weighs between 180 and 185 pounds.

In addition to Tennessee Football, Denmark’s list includes the Penn State Nittany Lions, Ohio State Buckeyes, Notre Dame Fighting Irish, Michigan Wolverines, Alabama Crimson Tide, USC Trojans, Oregon Ducks, Texas Longhorns, Texas A&M Aggies, Rutgers Scarlet Knights and South Carolina Gamecocks . He announced the schools on Twitter.

Apparently, Heupel loaded the Vols in their 2020 class at the recipient. The biggest focus, however, has been on Wideout, so he could probably use a little more help in the slot, especially since that position has been challenged with the departure of Velus Jones Jr. last year.

Although Jalin Hyatt seems like a favorite to fill in, 2024 is his last year of eligibility and he will be a senior in 2023. As a result, Rocky Top needs to add some help there beyond squirrel white maybe Jimmy Holiday. A guy like Denmark could help on that front.

There is currently a connection to the City of Brotherly Love on UT’s list with Romello Edwards, but UT hasn’t had too many connections there in the past. There’s no reason not to start, however, and Heupel’s track record in the passing game must make the Vols enticing.

There are currently no 247Sports Crystal Ball predictions for Denmark. Ohio State is the unanimous favorite in the Rivals Future lineup, but On3 has Penn State as a plural favorite and the failed Pittsburgh Panthers are plural favorites in the Rivals Fan Future lineup.

Taking all of this into account, it’s pretty clear that this is too early in the recruitment process to know exactly where Denmark is leaning and that means Tennessee football should keep chasing him. Hey, Tim Banks has a connection to this state, so pay attention.
