After a day off across the league to celebrate Thanksgiving, the NBA is back with a packed game schedule on Friday. Let’s take a closer look at the three locations I’m dialed in for today’s promotion.
YTD record: 26-20-2 ATS
1. Hornets +5| -110 at DK Sportsbook
The Hornets, looking to win back-to-back games for the first time this season, will have the floor tonight, still short-handed but confident. On Tuesday, the Hornets defeated the 76ers 107-101 in one of their best performances this month.
Tonight, however, should be more difficult as they welcome the rising Timberwolves, who have now won five games in a row to climb the Western Conference standings. I like when this somber Charlotte team keeps things close while staying within that number.
2. Nets -3 | -110 at DK Sportsbook
Things are far from perfect in Brooklyn, but they have won three of their last four games for the first time this season. The victories, beating the likes of Memphis and Toronto along the way, have been good and this team may finally be starting to pull themselves together.
The Nets come into this game with the third-best FG% in the league and keep throwing the ball through the hoop as they have scored 112 or more goals in three of their last five games.
The Pacers went on a five-game winning streak Tuesday in their first tough test in weeks, losing 101-115 at home to the red-hot Timberwolves. In this case, expect the Pacers to continue falling back to earth as they move back to .500.
3. Bulls -3 | -110 at DK Sportsbook
After a bumpy start to the season, the Bulls brought some momentum into the mini-break after back-to-back wins against top-flight opponents in Boston and Milwaukee. With 118+ points in both games, the Bulls’ offense finally seems to be turning a corner after being cold for most of November.
The Thunder have excelled despite possessing one of the worst defenses in the league, allowing 118.3 points per game. Their offense was the main catalyst, averaging 117 points per game.
Lose three straight into the break (0-3 ATS), wait for the thunder to fall again in this case.
