As of 2023, every first-party game developed for Xbox Series X will cost $10 more than it does now, at $69.99. First, IGN reported on the games starfield, redfall, and Forza Motorsport will all be released at this price as they are the games on the Xbox board for next year. The move comes after PlayStation kicked off the current generation by raising prices to $70.

It’s undoubtedly a calculated move by Microsoft who have their games on their Gamepass service on day one, with customers playing those games on that service obviously avoiding the price increase as they would only be paying for their subscription. It is currently unknown how these games will rate internationally, but one could assume that they would compete with their PlayStation 5 counterparts.

Get ready to witness kung fu fights as one of the best games of 2022 is about to be adapted into a movie. Sifu is a beat ’em up game in which you play the son or daughter of a sifu trying to avenge their father’s death by chasing down the five people responsible for his death. The main mechanics of the game is that every time you die you grow older until you become an older, gray-haired version of your young character. That Sifu Movie is written by one of the creators of the John Wick Franchise, Derek Kolstad.

It is currently unknown who might play the main character, if they will be male or female, or if they will be the main character’s age throughout the film. When they go down this path, one can’t help but think that Jessica Henwick, who recently joined Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery and Michelle Yeoh, who recently attended Everything everywhere All at the same time would make an excellent pairing.
