Sci-fi shooter SYNCED is coming to Steam and the Epic Games Store this summer

SYNCED is an upcoming third-person shooter from publisher Level Infinite and developer NExT Studios. Based on a future where nanotechnology is an important part of society, the developers are trying to change the formula in the shooter genre. SYNCED will be free to play and feature PVE and PVE game modes. The game is currently slated for release on PC sometime this summer, while the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S versions will be released at a later date. For more information on SYNCED see below:

SYNCED is a free to play sci-fi shooter set in our near future world where nanotechnology has become the backbone of civilization. After a cataclysm known as the Collapse, the Nanomachines turned against their creators, consuming humans to reproduce and morphed into the deadly Nanos. In this apocalypse, players take on the role of runners, brave seekers of fortune combing the meridian for the precious nano-energy substance called Nerva. Players team up in groups of three for high-octane PvE and PvP combat.

The turn?

Runners can sync up with any Prime Nanos they take down, turn them into Companion Nanos, and then use them strategically against the Nano hordes and opposing players. Each of these Prime Nano classes – Crusher, Suppressor, Guardian, and Seer – have their own set of abilities, allowing Runners to choose the one that best suits their playstyle. Runners can equip two Nanos at the same time and switch between them on the fly. Get up close and then unleash the Crusher. Peer for incoming threats and plunder your enemies as a seer.

In SYNCED’s PvE mode, a squad of three runners explores the abandoned wasteland, overruns industrial complexes, dark caves and more to face off against hordes of nanos and powerful bosses, gather resources and gradually reduce nano infection, which has captured the meridian. In PvP, it’s time to compete against other Runners and Nanos to get the most Nerva before the Harvesters leave the map and your time runs out.

Similar to classic looter shooters, in PvE and PvP matches, runners can earn resources to build their character while unlocking powerful weapons and mods.

During the successful open beta test that ended in January, the team at NExT listened to player feedback and has since implemented changes based on those insights to improve the overall gaming experience ahead of the full launch of SYNCED. These include:

–Solo mode – for those runners who want to face the Meridian alone (except for their Nano companions)

-Increased Influence of Nanos – A wider selection of Nano mods now provides access to more skills, abilities, and tactics on the battlefield

-New Traversal Modes – Used well, Speed Dash, increased jumping ability and a hover board can give players a real advantage in the heat of the action
