Subscription services are trending as consumers are willing to pay monthly for streaming content, pet food, clothing, among other things. So it’s not too far-fetched that restaurants want to get in the game. After all, a 2021 National Restaurant Association consumer survey found that one in three diners said the existence of a loyalty rewards program would make them choose one restaurant over another. Additionally, 55 percent of adults surveyed said they would be willing to pay for a subscription at a local restaurant.
It makes sense in the current environment of still high food inflation. Consumers are looking for deals, and subscriptions usually come with a bunch of them, whether it’s a discount or free delivery. Not every restaurant offers a subscription, but the following four do.
1. Panera
Unlimited Sip Club
If you like coffee, tea and lemonade from Panera, it has an offer for you. For $11.99 per month plus tax or $119.99 per year, you can refill any size hot drip coffee, hot tea, iced coffee, iced tea, infused lemonade, lemonade, or fountain beverage every two hours during regular business hours and have free refills at your sip a participating Panera in the US Cold brew, espresso drinks and other beverages are not included in your subscription. Panera has a promotion where you are free for a month. Only members of Panera’s free loyalty program, MyPanera, can join the subscription plan.
2. PF Changs
Platinum Rewards Program
For $6.99 per month plus tax, loyal customers can receive offers and perks through PF Chang’s Platinum Rewards program. Members earn 20 points for every $1 spent, which is double the free Gold Rewards program. Receive free delivery with no minimums and a free appetizer or dessert during your birthday month. PF Chang’s throws in priority reservations and VIP concierge services.

The Pret coffee subscription
The coffee and sandwich chain offers two subscription plans that give you unlimited coffee and tea. Pret’s Premium Plan costs $40 per month and includes up to five free drinks per day. You have to wait half an hour between redemptions. The plan includes any size hot or iced coffee or tea, all espresso-based drinks, all barista drinks and cold brew, plus an add-on like syrup or an espresso shot. The Classic Plan costs $30 per month and includes up to five free drinks per day, including an organic blend of coffee and tea, and an add-on.
4. Sweet Green
Sweetpass+
Lettuce lovers can get offers and discounts by signing up for the Sweetpass+ loyalty program. For $10 a month, customers get $3 off daily, free shipping, and inclusion in Sweetgreen Insiders, giving you access to exclusive opportunities and the ability to help shape future items on the menu. Sweetgreen donates 50 percent of your initial membership fee to carbon reduction partners to help you choose.
