BENTON WHITLEY SIGNS THE CHIEFS ACTIVE ROSTER

Three-time All-Patriot League defenseman Benton Whitley was named to the active roster for the Kansas City Chiefs on Thursday. The former Holy Cross star has been signed off the Los Angeles Rams practice team. The Rams signed Whitley as an undrafted free agent in April.

CBS Sports’ Emory Hunt released his FCS power rankings ahead of week four of the season, with Holy Cross moving up three spots to No. 6 after their crucial win over Yale. Fordham moved up a spot in Hunt’s power rankings to 17th after improving to 3-0 for the first time since 2013.

NCAA.com’s Stan Becton revealed his weekly FCS quarterback rankings, with Fordham grad QB Tim DeMorat remaining second behind UIW’s Lindsey Scott Jr. to a 48-45 comeback win over Albany for a career-high 464 yards and five touchdown passes. Holy Cross junior quarterback Matthew Sluka ranked sixth this week after scoring three touchdowns in the Crusaders’ 38-14 win over Yale.
