It looks like the coming-of-age fantasy genre is really thriving in episodic television, as we can tell from our results on Netflix’s top TV shows in the US, at least today. We were able to spot the action-adventure thriller as the particularly dominant genre in the platform’s top 10 movies for Tuesday 14th June 2022, but the results are still quite mixed. Top 10 Movies on Netflix in the US – June 14, 2022
It looks like Adam Sandler’s Hurry at the top of Netflix’s top 10 movies in the US isn’t the end, however interceptor has suffered a major intercept with family-friendly animated adventure Chickenhare and the hamster of darkness takes second place as Elsa Pataky’s action thriller falls behind Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol and The Incredible Spiderman. Meanwhile Oscar winner for the best picture titanic is still in sixth place and sits on top Brahms: The Boy IIbut Adam McKay’s satirical Dick Cheney biopic Vice Eighth place replaced by Roland Emmerich 10,000 BC Chrwhich is no longer on the list… for now. The injured locker is still locked in, but in tenth place and sits below the newcomer trees of peace – an intense Netflix original film inspired by the Tutsi genocide in Rwanda in the early 1990s.

As I mentioned earlier, the top 10 Netflix TV shows in the US today provide solid evidence of the enduring popularity of the coming-of-age fantasy genre stranger things topped the list for the umpteenth day in a row as the first kill The cast helped the queer vampire romance rank second behind docuseries Keep sweet: pray and obey and historical crime Peaky Blinders. The latter title (which recently debuted its final season) has actually fallen behind teen sports drama All Americans and sits right above it The Lincoln Attorney and intimacy – a French drama that has surpassed the recently ended favorite ozark popular today. Meanwhile, a more grounded coming-of-age series was calling survive summer and Nickelodeon’s successful animated reboot of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles have not moved from the bottom two spots.

I had the feeling Vice and his Oscar-winning makeup on Christian Bale (who actually shares a birthday with Dick Cheney) would join the ranks this week.
