STAMFORD, Conn. – May 25, 2022 – The 2021-22 TV season ends tonight on NBC Football on Sunday night ends as Primetimes #1 TV show in all key metrics for a unprecedented 11th year in a row – Extends its record for most consecutive years at the top of the charts (since 1950) based on official live and same-day data provided by Nielsen. Football on Sunday night also classified as the #1 show in advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic for 12th straight TV season.
ABC Football on Sunday night averaged 19.3 million viewers in 2021, according to official Nielsen live and same-day data and digital data from Adobe Analytics.

SNSF VIEWERSHP MORE THAN DOUBLED THE TOP SCRIPTED SHOW FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER
For the first time, Football on Sunday night (18.5 million TV viewers) has more than doubled the viewership of television’s most watched scripted show (Yellowstone, 8.9 million across multiple networks), after a 75% lead over last season’s top scripted series (NCIS), a 72% lead in 2019-20 and a 45% lead in 2018-19.
In addition, with an average household rating of 9.9/23, SNSF outperformed Yellowstone by +104% – up from a 60% lead in 2020-21, a 57% lead in 2019-20 and a 38% lead in 2018-19.

NBC Sports Digital hit another viewership milestone with Peacock’s live streaming of all NBC NFL games in 2021 Football on Sunday nightwith a Record average minute audience of 843,000 viewers across Peacock, NBCSports.com, the NBC Sports app, NFL Digital platforms and Yahoo Sports mobile properties.

It all starts on Thu 8 Sept with Matthew Stafford and the Rams hoist their Super Bowl banner at SoFi Stadium prior to hosting Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills in NFL opener 2022…contains Tom Brady and Patrick Mahomes for the sixth time (Week 4), Legendary Rivalries (Bears-Packers on September 18, Cowboys-Eagles on October 16), three holiday games and the powerful season finale in Week 18.
