Girls ice hockey
Kamryn Van Batavia, Luverne
The senior, signed for Minnesota State-Mankato, scored five goals and had four assists in an 11-0 win over Worthington on Jan. 24. Two days later, she scored twice and had an assist in a 4-2 win at Marshall. With 48 goals, she took the lead in the state.
Chloe Boreen, Hill Murray
The youngster had three assists in the 8-2 win over Farmington on 24 January and a hat-trick in the 4-0 win over Proctor/Hermantown on 27 January. 10 with 32 goals.
Uma Corniea, Edina
The senior goaltender signed for Princeton made 50 saves from 51 chances in three games. She made all nine saves in an 8-0 win at Wayzata on January 24, stopping 27 of 28 shots to earn a 2-1 win at Benilde-St. Margaret’s on January 26 and made 14 saves in a 5–0 win at Cretin-Derham Hall on January 28. Her .956 percent save percentage is the best in Minnesota, according to MNgirlshockeyhub.
Natalie Bergman, Rock Ridge
The freshman forward scored her team’s only goal in a 3-1 loss at Cloquet-Esko-Carlton on January 24 and scored four goals and added an assist in a 7-0 shutout at International Falls on January 26 . She is tenth in the state with 30 goals.
Ayla Doll, Northfield
The University of Minnesota-signed junior had eight goals and five assists in three games. She was involved in all three goals scored in a Makato East shutout on January 24, with one goal and two assists.
She was also involved in every goal scored in the 4-1 win over Mankato East on January 26, scoring twice and assisting twice. On January 28, she scored five goals and one assist in an 8-0 win at Rochester Mayo. She ranks second in the state with 72 points.
Boys Ice Hockey
Louie Wehmann, Academy of Providence
The junior scored five goals and had an assist in an 8-4 win over Blake on January 26. On January 28, he added another big goal in the 4-3 win at Northern Lakes. He is fifth in Minnesota with 32 goals scored and seventh with 59 points.
Tyler Hennen, Kittson County Central
The senior striker scored nine goals and had six assists in two games, with three goals and four assists in an 8-1 Crookston win on January 24 and six goals and two assists in an 8-8 draw at Wadena-Deer Creek on January 27th. He leads the state in goals (47) and points (86).
Hampton Slukynsky, Warroad
The elder keeper made 31 saves on 33 shots in a 5-2 win at Roseau on January 24 and had 32 saves on 34 opportunities in a 4-2 win at Moorhead on January 28. He leads all Minnesota netminders in wins (17) and is the second-greatest saving percentage (.944).
Cayden Casey, Andover
The senior forward scored a goal and three assists in a 7-0 shutout at Spring Lake Park on Jan. 26 and assisted six of nine goals scored in the 9-1 win at Coon Rapid on Jan. 28. He ranks sixth in the state with 34 assists.
Aidan Miller, Cottage Grove Park
The second goalie made 19 saves from 21 chances in a 5-2 win at Apple Valley/Burnsville on January 24 and made 31 saves from 32 shots in a 2-1 win at Woodbury on January 28. His save of .934 percentage is tied for sixth best in Minnesota.
