It’s probably the strongest team we’ve seen in a while. I’m very excited to see what we can do and do better than what we’ve done in previous tournaments.
We were hoping to do a little better, but we’ve been getting better at every tournament so far this year. Our goal is to get out of the group stage and reach the quarterfinals, which is our main goal at the moment.
The long gap between games on day one presents a new scenario to overcome, but Pugh is confident his side will not be overwhelmed. It will be difficult but the guys who played in France before understand that they like their late kick. Offs, they like a late crowd but the atmosphere will be busy
It’s getting noisy and we just have to make sure that we plan the week correctly with later training sessions and activating the bodies at 10 a.m. so that we don’t nod off, but what’s good for us is that we don’t have to deal with a big time difference, only a short trip to France.
