Here’s the Evo 2022 game line-up, dates and how to watch them

The world’s largest fighting game tournament returns in Evo 2022. Here is the Evo game lineup, how to see Evo and where to see it.

Evo will be back in all its glory this year. The annual fighting games tournament is held in Las Vegas in front of a live audience, with players seated next to each other for the games. This comes after unfortunate events that included cancellations and online spin-offs.

Evo 2022 will feature nine games and will return to its normal launch time in August. Here are all the details about the event and what fans can look forward to.

Evo 2022 game line-up

Evo 2022 will feature a total of nine Mainstage games alongside showcases for other titles, including two highly anticipated releases due later this year. The full Evo 2022 game offering includes:

  • Street Fighter V: Champion Edition
  • Guilty Gear struts
  • Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate
  • tekke 7
  • KOF XV
  • Meltblood: Type Lumina
  • Dragon Ball Fighter Z
  • Granblue Fantasy Verse
  • Skullgirls 2nd encore

The event will feature the PlayStation 4 versions of all nine games.

The Evo game series consists mostly of modern sequels to long-running series that have been shown in previous Evo events. Granblue Fantasy Versus will technically make its debut but was due to be featured at Evo 2020 and was a side tournament during Evo 2021 Online. Smash Bros. will not be presented at Evo this year at the request of Nintendo.

In addition to these games, there are several Showcase titles. Most notable is Street Fighter 6, which will have a playable demo at the event. Evo will also host a $100,000 tournament for upcoming fighting game MultiVersus, a platformer that draws from a variety of media from Game of Thrones to DC Comics to Rick & Morty.

How to watch Evo 2022

Evo 2022 will be streamed live on Evo’s official Twitch channel.

Although some Evo events in previous years have included final days broadcast on ESPN, neither party involved has indicated that this year will be the case. Given the closeness of the event at this time, it’s unlikely there will be an ESPN telecast.

The good news is that all of the celebrations will be available to viewers on Twitch. This includes select matchups from pools as well as the entire tournament itself.

When is Evo 2022?

Evo 2022 will take place from August 5th to 7th.

There will be pool games for the first two days of the event, with some of the main games being completed during this time. The top eight from Skullgirls 2nd Encore will wrap up day one on the main stage, while the top eight for Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate, Melty Blood: Type Lumina, Granblue Fantasy: Versus and Dragon Ball FighterZ will occupy the main stage throughout day two.

Day three will feature the top eight for King of Fighters XV, Tekken 7, Street Fighter V: Champion Edition, and Guilty Gear Strive. These games get the full arena treatment and take place in front of a large crowd.

Where is Evo 2022?

Evo 2022 will be held in Las Vegas, Nevada. The event will take place in two different locations.

Mandalay Bay’s South Convention Center will host the first two days of the event. On the final day of the event, the action moves to the Michelob Ultra Arena in front of a live audience.
