The youngster has made great strides on the Tour this season; She started outside the 120 and now finds herself at number 74. Her highlights include an ITF title in Orlando and a second-round stint at the Australian Open as a qualifier.
However, it’s fair to say that Zheng’s form is still in the works, and the same is evident in her early departures in Miami, Charleston and Madrid for Magda Linette, Ekaterina Alexandrova and Karolina Muchova.
While Zheng has some experience on clay and can fight, she needs to bring her A-game to take on Halep.

Halep is the favorite and should make it into the third round well. However, she can be challenged again and pushed to three sets.
