With the 2022 draft in the rearview mirror and the free hand all but over, we should have a good idea of who will be playing offense in Week 1. And as usual, tight ends will be difficult to predict. Each year there are many tight sleepers who seem ready to step into the fantasy, but these sleepers rarely wake up.
Tyreek Hill’s absence will help focus even more on Travis Kelce’s style, but Kyle Pitts has youth and a big target stake too. Mark Andrews is also spot on in the mix for first place, but Darren Waller will likely take a step back if used in the mix with Davante Adams.
Irv Smith Jr. will be a popular choice, which I totally agree with. Adam Thielen seems slightly over the hill and the Vikings’ new offense should be a lot more pass-heavy this season. But in the end, a top 3 tight end might be the way to go to ensure a consistent fantasy outing from the TE spot each week.
