With the 2022 NFL Draft and most of the free agency behind us, it’s time to start rating players for fantasy football. As usual, the quarterbacks will have many household names, but getting the QBs who can lead your fake teams later in the draft is a big part of setting up for success.
Probably the biggest question will be DeShaun Watson’s status this season. I expect he faces suspension but until then I have him as a top five fantasy quarterback. Josh Allen should be the No. 1 quarterback as long as he runs and shoots.
You can make the case that many quarterbacks will be No. 1 this year, but two of the best just lost their best receivers when the Packers traded Davante Adams to the Raiders and the Chiefs let Tyreek Hill go to Miami.
Quarterbacks who add big numbers on the spot, like Kyler Murray and Lamar Jackson, will also miss receivers as DeAndre Hopkins receives a six-week suspension and the Ravens traded Marquise Brown to the Cardinals. Murray, of course, gets Brown to pitch now, but Hopkins is one of the best in the league.
