Major League Cricket Draft: Major League Cricket makes its debut this year and there will be a Player Draft on March 19th, selecting players from the ongoing MLC Domestic Player Combine. Representing the best US-based talent in the US cricket community are over 100 draft candidates. Teams from Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, Seattle, Texas and Washington, DC will select nine domestic players, with additional overseas players to be announced in the coming days.
The eight rounds of homegrown talent will be selected by the six founding MLC franchises along with a ‘rookie’ U23 player on Sunday night. Teams are also required to add one more homegrown player to their squad at a later date based on their performance in the first half of the minor league cricket season. Some of the world’s top T20 cricketers will make up the rest of each team’s roster.

When and where is the Major League Cricket Draft held?
Major League Cricket is chasing the stars in its debut season, so choosing Space Center Houston as the venue will provide a perfect setting for the first draft. More than 1.1 million visits and 250,000 educators and students visit the facility each year. The draft broadcast will begin at 7:30 p.m. CST (Monday, 6:00 a.m. IST).

Where can I watch the Major League Cricket Draft?
MLC Network will stream the draft live on its YouTube channel, with streaming also available ESPN Critical Info. Live TV broadcasts are available in India on sports18 -1 (along with streaming on JioCinema) and further into Pakistan A sports TV. Coverage begins at 7:30pm CST with commentary and analysis with a panel chaired by Nikhil Uttamchandani. MLC will also post updates on its Twitter, Facebook and Instagram accounts.
