Emmerdale viewers are upset as the “boring” storyline carries on as they develop theories after being unable to believe the apparent ending to the storyline
Emmerdale fans were left livid during Monday’s episode after the mystery surrounding Will Taylor’s missing watch continued to rumble.
Will, played by Dean Andrews, was recently spotted angrily accusing Home Farm groundsman Sam Dingle (James Hooton) of stealing his expensive watch.
This week, however, Nicky the nanny (Lewis Cope) later produced the watch and claimed he found baby Thomas playing with it, something soap fans refused to believe.

The clock caused quite a stir at the soap, Sam lost his job and his wife Lydia (Karen Blick) resigned as a cleaner at Home Farm in protest because she didn’t like the way her family was treated.
Although Will was out of a job due to the watch debacle, Will refused to consider the matter resolved as he had not retrieved his watch at the time.
He threatened to call the police and things got heated outside The Woolpack pub when Caleb Dingle (Will Ash) stepped in to defend Sam.

Will was angry but later calmed down when baby Thomas was discovered playing with the clock.
However, viewers at home found the plot absurd and insisted there was no way a baby could have gotten the watch.
One person insisted it was Nicky who pinned the watch to Thomas, writing on Twitter: “Just because Thomas has the watch doesn’t mean he took it… still think Nicky pinned it to him! “

Annoyed: However, viewers at home found the plot absurd and insisted a baby could not have gotten the watch after the watch was found containing baby Thomas
Another wrote: “Yes. How did baby Thomas get the clock off a kitchen counter? What credible explanation will the authors come up with?’
Another viewer wrote: “The clock was left on a table in the kitchen and somehow a baby supposedly managed to grab it and bring it upstairs???”
Another shared: “We know 100% that it wasn’t baby Thomas who could have taken over the watch. Of course, if Clemmie or Lucas were around, that would be believable. If they’re not in the frame, obviously there must be an adult in the house. In reality, Kim and Will would discuss it.”
Another person wrote: “What’s #Manny Nicky’s game? No way did Thomas pull Will’s clock off a countertop. He’s not Superman 2! Nicky is either robbing or playing a game. And is Caleb involved in this game?’
“I don’t think Thomas played with Will’s watch. I think Nicky playing with being on everyone’s side pulled it off,” shared another viewer.
Upset that the storyline is still ongoing, one person wrote, “And I thought the whole thing that stole the clock was the big Christmas reveal story.”
Another person added: “Will, super glue this flamingo watch on just in case, and for heaven’s sake let’s not hear from you.”
Emmerdale continues on Tuesday at 7.30pm on ITV1.
