The 2022 college football campaign has almost reached the end of its regular season, leaving only the Army-Navy game to play before bowl season.
But there is one more point of order before the season reaches its final climax: recognizing the nation’s best players, coaches and position groups for their on-field achievements.
The most important of these awards is the Heisman Trophy, which is considered the most prestigious individual award in college sports. But there are other accolades to look out for, including the Biletnikoff (top receiver), Doak Walker (top running back), and more.
Aside from positional awards, there are various national player of the year awards, including that of The Sporting News: a fitting, definitive recognition of another fantastic season in college football.
