It’s already been quite a ride this season for the Cleveland Cavaliers (12-6, 4-5 away) that has literally been a feast or a famine.

Four straight game winners, the Cavs will get another chance to see if they belong with the East Heavys when they visit the Milwaukee Bucks (12-5, 9-2 at home).

The Bucks got off to a flying start, but injuries have slowed them down – and they have one game left to play this year with All-Star Khris Middleton, who is still recovering from off-season wrist surgery.

It all begins Friday night (Nov. 25) at 8 p.m. ET from the Fiserv Forum in a game that will be streamed live on NBA League Pass.

Cleveland Betting Outlook

Licking their wounds after a blowout loss in Milwaukee — Cleveland’s fifth episode — home cooking did the Cavs good as they led the table in a 4-game homestand that culminated in a 114-96 win over the Trail Blazers on Wednesday night .

This all comes after Cleveland demolished eight straight wins to start the year 8-1.

Donovan Mitchell went ahead against Portland with a game-high 34 points on an 11-for-18 shooting as all Cleveland starters scored in double figures. Darius Garland had 24 points and 12 assists while Jarrett Allen had 24 of his own with 13 boards.

The Cavs were cooking on this one, shooting 55.4% from field and 12 to 27 from deep, a 44.4% clip. This year they are the team with the eighth-highest goal scoring in the league, with the second-best mark from the three-point bracket of 39.8%.

They’re no problem on defense either, allowing just 107.6 points per game – just a tick behind the Bucks in 4th place. Cleveland is one of two teams in the NBA to rank in the top 10 in both scoring and points allowed.

Cleveland will lose a few key pieces in this case. Kevin Love (thumbs) will miss his second game in a row. The non-starters, a key bench piece for the Cavs, only amassed 10 points against the Blazers. Caris LeVert (ankle) will miss his third episode.

Milwaukee Betting Outlook

After a stellar 9-0 start, Milwaukee has stumbled a little after losing five of their last eight games, including Wednesday night’s 118-113 loss to the Chicago Bills — just their second home loss of the campaign.

For Mike Budenholzer’s group, however, there is no panic – winning the title will do that for you. It doesn’t hurt that Giannis Antetokounmpo drives the team.

Giannis, the current favorite in the 2023 NBA MVP ratings, had 36 points, 11 rebounds and seven assists against the Bulls despite committing eight turnovers.

Jrue Holiday added 14 points and 11 assists but he also struggled to protect the ball, turning it over seven times. As a team, the Bucks shot just 12-38 from 3-point range (31.6%).

They are a bottom 10 team from a distance and are shooting at a 34% clip. It’s one of the reasons Milwaukee sits in the midfield at 111.5 points per game.

Cavaliers vs Bucks prediction

This will be the second meeting between these teams, with Milwaukee winning the first at home on November 16, 113-98. Brook Lopez had 29 points and five boards while drilling 7-on-9 from downtown. Giannis had a night off, shooting 6-for-18 for 16 points with 12 boards and eight dimes.

Notable in that game: Milwaukee was +16 in three-point shooting and drilled 16-to-39 (41%) in one of their best performances of the year.

That performance aside, Cleveland has performed well by head-to-head, playing 4-1 against the spread in their last five meetings. Careful with that stat: They’re in the bottom nine in Milwaukee, 2-7 ATS.

Despite the Bucks’ recent struggles, expect them to show up in a matchup that deserves their full attention.
