Canal Pride Parade 2022 Live Stream, Watch Online in 4K at TANTARA in San Francisco – August 6, 2022

Sat August 6 – Thu August 11, 2022

The Amsterdam Canal Parade returns after two years of coronavirus restrictions
Eighty different boats will take part in Amsterdam’s world-famous Canal Parade on Saturday afternoon, representing LGBTQ organisations, gay restaurants and cafes and other businesses supporting the struggles of the LGBTQ community. The police, national government and city council of Amsterdam will also have boats in the parade.

To participate, organizations had to submit plans for their boats to Amsterdam Pride, according to the website. The best concepts got a place in the parade, which starts in Oosterdok and ends in Westerdok.

Big organizations like Google and Booking.com will be represented at the parade, alongside NGOs like Amnesty International and smaller Dutch-based companies like Café ‘t Achterom. The inclusion of larger companies has sparked some controversy and, according to Het Parool, has inspired several alternative Pride events that will also take place in the city on Saturday.

The Canal Parade returns after two years of cancellation due to coronavirus restrictions. In recent years, the parade has attracted hundreds of thousands of visitors.

For the 25th edition of the event, each boat carries a message inspired by the theme “My Gender, My Pride”. The theme is intended to draw attention to groups such as transgender or non-binary people.

The royal couple took to their social media to wish everyone involved in the canal parade the best of luck. “With all our hearts, we wish everyone freedom to be who they are and to love who they choose!” they wrote.
