PARAMOUNT+ ANNOUNCES THE CHALLENGE: WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP FOR WEDNESDAY, MARCH 8TH
The first-ever global “Challenge” tournament pitting Series 14 veterans against champions and MVPs from around the world
January 25, 2023 – Paramount+ today announced that the highly anticipated global tournament, THE CHALLENGE: WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP, will premiere on Wednesday, March 8 in the United States and Canada with back-to-back episodes. The series will debut on service in the UK, Latin America and Australia on Thursday 9 March and in Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Italy and France on Wednesday 15 March.
After intense battles across the globe, THE CHALLENGE: WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP brings together global champions and MVPs from The Challenge: Argentina, The Challenge: Australia, The Challenge: UK, and The Challenge: USA to celebrate their countries represent and fight for the coveted title “Challenge World Champion”. Joining longtime presenter TJ Lavin to kick off the premiere episode are global presenters Brihony Dawson (Australia), Mark Wright (UK) and Marley Biyendolo (Argentina).
In this 12-part series, each global MVP is paired with a Challenge Legend, a notable veteran from a previous season of the MTV series who acts as a partner to form the most epic teams in franchise history. You’ll help them rise to power and avoid elimination to complete the hardest challenge of all, the brutal $500,000 final. In the end, only the most dominant will conquer the game and prove that they are not only the best in their homeland, but the best in the world. The full cast will be announced in the coming weeks.
THE CHALLENGE: WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP was developed by Bunim/Murray Productions for MTV Entertainment Studios. Julie Pizzi and Justin Booth serve as executive producers. German Abarca, Ernesto De La O, David Sambuchi, Kristopher Schwalenberg and Brad Tiemann act as co-executive producers.
