The global crypto market cap is up 0.76 percent to $1.19 trillion as of 8:40 a.m. According to Coinmarketcap data, global crypto volume increased by 14.62 percent to $65.12 billion.
The trading volume in the decentralized finance coin space is about $5.5 billion, or 8.52 percent of the total 24-hour volume of the crypto market. The volume of all stablecoins is $57.9 billion, or about 88.92 percent of the total crypto market volume over the past 24 hours.
Today’s top winner was SHIB, which rose 34.2 percent to $0.00001714. The biggest loser was Nexo (NEXO), which fell 4.99 percent to $1.02.
Bitcoin (BTC)
As of 8:50 a.m., Bitcoin is up 2.05 percent to $24,887.19 and currently commands a 40.07 percent dominance of the crypto market.
In terms of price analysis, BTC’s price was rangebound for most of August 14th. However, sometime after 9:59 p.m., the price of BTC fell sharply. It wasn’t until the morning of August 15, sometime around 7:29 a.m., that BTC’s price managed to break out of the red zone and is now trading with modest profits.
BTC’s lowest price today was $24,206.26, and its trading volume increased by 11.73 percent to $25,011,275,046.
Ethereum (ETH)
Ethereum price stood at $2,005.31 this morning, up 0.94 percent.
ETH showed almost similar trading behavior as BTC. Sometime around 9:59 p.m. on August 14, ETH fell rapidly, but at around 7:54 a.m., the price of ETH started to increase.
ETH’s lowest price today was $1,919.01. ETH trading volume increased by 4.68 percent to $15,689,182,734.
