SAN ANTONIO – Students from more than 30 local high school bands gather on April 27 for the 85th Annual Battle of Flowers Band Festival. The theme for this year is Where Fiesta Reigns.
The Battle of Flowers Band Festival is the nation’s oldest and longest-running marching band festival and offers a unique opportunity for high school bands to perform together and foster their interest in music, according to BattleOfFlowers.org.
The festival, which began in 1937, is held at Alamo Stadium. The Battle of Flowers Band Festival will be streamed live from 6:30 p.m. on KSAT.com, KSAT Plus and YouTube.
The Battle of Flowers Band Festival will re-broadcast on April 29 from 2pm to 5pm on KSAT 12 and all KSAT digital platforms.
The Battle of Flowers Band Festival is a night of musical entertainment with highlights such as Herald Trumpets, parades of bands with colorful flags and twirls, and bands performing their award-winning UIL shows for the audience.
Top ranking bands and fan favorites are awarded Celebration of Music grants to support and encourage the arts in local schools.
At the end of the evening, all musicians perform together in a spectacular finale with fireworks.

If you wish to attend in person, you can purchase tickets online from $7 each. Friendly Reminder: Alamo Stadium has a clear bag policy.
