On Monday morning, the latest AP poll was released, showing the Wildcats after Arizona’s home win over the Oregon Schools, which started with a 91-76 win over the Ducks and then ended with a dominating 84-52 win over the US beavers advanced a place to 4th place.

“We got the result we were hoping for and Oregon are a hell of a team,” UA head coach Tommy Lloyd said after the Oregon game. So a lot of respect for her. Super proud of our boys for really sticking to a game plan and doing a good job at it.”

It was a historic performance by forward Azuolas Tubelis against the Ducks as he broke a career-best 40 points, becoming the first Wildcat player to score 40 points at the McKale Center since Khalid Reeves did against Michigan in the 1993-94 season did.

Tubelis was two points short of breaking the McKale Center record for points scored by a 41-year-old Arizona player held by Al Fleming, who was inducted into the ring of honor Thursday night before the game.

The Wildcats followed with dominating defense in their 84-52 win over Oregon State in a game in which Arizona shot their opponent 36% off the field and forced the Beavers to 15 turnovers that held 23 points.

The Wildcats will be on the road this week, with the team traveling to the Bay Area to face Cal on Thursday and Stanford on Saturday.
