Vekic, currently No. 100 in the world, had to survive qualification to play in the main draw. She beat Robin Anderson, Louisa Chirico and Anastasia Gasanova in qualifying.
The Croatian had two bad years back in 2020 and 2021, which caused him to slide down the rankings. She was once world No. 19 in 2019.
Vekic has tried to get back to their best level and win games regularly. Her current winning streak of 4 games is her best streak of 2022. She looks forward to testing her current level against an in-form Anisimova.
Anisimova v Vekic prediction and tip
Both players are fairly stable in their baseline game, but Anisimova is the more offensive player while Vekic doesn’t mind going into defense. We will either see a lot of unforced errors or winners from Anisimova’s racquet that will decide the game.
