Slow down and hike

This may seem obvious, but Season: A Letter to the Future is all about that slow down and enjoy the ride. There is so much to see and do, and at times you may find yourself focused on one destination. For example, when you first leave the village of Caro, you will follow a path that will eventually lead you to the entrance of the Tieng Valley.

You can focus on this trail and drive straight there, or you can look at what’s around you. Who knows, maybe you will Learn about a little piece of lore when you stray off the path. Your bike ride may feel long at times, but that’s all part of the experience.

record sounds

Season 1: A Letter to the Future emphasizes photographing and recording the world around you. Sometimes you might forget to record audio and instead focus on taking pictures. However, audio recordings can provide interesting information. For example, throughout the game you will often come across a violet flower accompanied by garbled voices.

It’s hard to hear those voices, though If you point your audio recorder at a flower, the main voice will come out and give you some information. This can then be placed on a relevant page in your diary so you can listen to it again at any time. Don’t forget to grab your recorder when you see a flower and hear voices!

Take lots of pictures

Chances are you will take a lot of pictures. Whenever you see something (or someone) new, you will most likely take a picture, and that is greatly encouraged! Some NPCs might even want to exchange pictures with you. If you don’t take enough pictures, you may have trouble showing them anything.

When you come to a new place, remember: If in doubt, take a photo.

For example, after helping Matyora, she will tell you to show her pictures from around the valley. If she shows a picture, she will tell you a little about it; If you have photographed many things, you will have a lot to show Matyora. This is optional, but it’s nice to talk to the NPCs in the valley and learn where you are. After all, that’s the point of the game!

Decorate your diary

Farewell ritual diary page

your diary keeps track of all the information you have collected on your trip. Every time you discover something new, a new page will appear. Some of these sites have set images/objects that need to be added in order to answer a question, but most sites allow this Freely place anything you want.

From your journal’s index, you can see each page listed. When there is a black dot next to the title of the page, you have “completed” that page. This means that you have placed enough material to get a little explanation or representation of what the page is about. A black dot also gives you access to stickers that can be placed.

In total, Try to fill in each side to get the black dot. If you can place the page freely, you only need to place some images, quotes and audio files. Don’t forget to place your stickers after filling in the page! There’s a lot of satisfaction in flipping through a full journal once you’ve reached the end of the game.

At the very end of the game you have one last chance to add something to your journal. If there are images you still need to place, this is the right time.

traceability

If you’re used to fast-paced games with quick movements, you might be skeptical about backtracking. In Season: A Letter to the Future, Sometimes a retreat is necessary. Later in the game you may find yourself walking from one side of the valley to the other to complete journal pages.

Instead of getting frustrated with riding a bike, remember that it’s part of the journey, and that’s it gives you time to think about everything that is happening around you. The game has a beautiful soundtrack to accompany you as you ride through the valley. Sit back, relax and drive through nature.
